本作は、奈良・赤膚焼の名匠であられる尾西楽斎様が手掛けた烏帽子形の香合です。直径約7センチ、高さ6センチ以内ほどの掌中サイズながら、端正に折り畳まれた烏帽子の「折れ」や「眉折（まゆおり）」を精緻に写し取り、上下二分割によって内部に練香や伽羅片を納める構造となっています。

「作品には物語を宿すべし」との母の教えを受け継ぎながら、作品一つひとつに使い手と器の交感、そこに宿る時間を込めて制作されています。
