草もの：苔梅・水仙・秋海棠など線の細い草花を合わせると、灰被りの柔らかな色調が瑞々しさを際立たせます。

薬師寺東塔は天武天皇の発願（680年頃）に始まり、平城遷都後の718年に現在地で完成したと伝えられます。南都七大寺のひとつとして栄え、度重なる戦火や火災を経ながらも法灯を護持してきました。特に東塔（730年完成）は「凍れる音楽」と称される優美な三重塔で、世界遺産にも登録されております。
