This was exactly the case as the sun lit up the clouds for a couple of minutes during the first sunrise for the year over the skyline of Denver

For a good portion of the day races of varying levels took place around the park on either the long or short course for a set duration of time

With the snow continuing the fall it wasn't long until the trees were fully covered in heavy snow on their branches

Veterans Day in Colorado Size:16"x20" Towards the end of theOn Veterans Day a few years ago there was a light snowfall overnight. As the snow was starting to melt, I walked over to Lincoln Park in Denver which is located between the State Capitol and Civic Center Park. In this park is the Colorado Veterans Memorial and today there were US and Colorado flags around the monument. With a low angle I worked to capture the signage as well as some of the flags which were on display.
