Kit includes over six pounds of malt extract, a pound of crushed blended German grains, German hops and liquid German yeast. Not sure what altbier is? Think Oktoberfest like Marzen, but not lagered. The included yeast DOES prefer fermenting at the cooler end of the ale spectrum, so keep it in the 60s if possible.
