Quickly adjusting the camera I started to follow them as they flew past capturing this image which froze their location but still shows the wings moving in most of the pigeons

With the macro lens it is possible to get a shallow depth of field (having a few items in focus) which is what I explored in this photograph

With the detailed patterns in this building I went with the repeating lines and patterns in this image

On this day in October 2009 some early snow fell in the city which was interesting as the snow line was quite obvious throughout the city especially on the lawn of the capitol building

From the golf course I watched the sun descend over the mountains and the orange and blue colors light become the backdrop over the city.
