Antique Victorian Papier Mache Gloves, Desk Casket, Box, Architectural Painting carte d'visite some bug holes but nothingI'm just sure that has to be one of the large World Exposition buildings on the lid there in mother of pearl, unfortunately it's lost most of the painted decoration from the smooth pearl so I can't quite tell. Possibly the Crystal Palace from the 1851 world's fair, anyone? You can see the Union Jack waving prominently on the far right flagpole though so it is possible that it's an English Victorian piece. A lovely piece and nicely sized for display at
