Since 1980, the KC 10 had been a crucial asset for U. S. and allied forces, flying airlift and aerial refueling missions across the globe. The KC 10 could carry twice as much fuel as the older KC 135 and at the same time almost as much cargo as the C 17 Globemaster. To commemorate its retirement, Herpa is releasing a small three model, limited edition series of the trijet.
