Old Moseley Smoothing Plane (Beech) scotland The blade has been replacedA lovely old Moseley wooden smoothing plane with a steel sole. The front nose is marked 'John Moseley & Son, 54 55 Broad St, Bloomsbury, London'. The cap iron is marked 'Moseley & Son, Warranted'. The plane iron looks like it is marked 'I&H Sorby, Sheffield, Warranted Cast Steel'. Length: 6 1 2" Condition: a split to side of plane by wedge blade (very common on these planes), see photographs for condition.
