Description

友禅でつがいの鶴が描かれた長襦袢から。

海の白波が立つようすを全体にあらわしているように見えます。

縞柄は江戸時代「粋なお洒落」の象徴的なデザインであり、線を重ねることで「調和」を意味していました。奢侈禁止令のあった当時は庶民が派手な色柄を着ることができなかったため、縞柄や格子柄などの幾何学文様が発展しました。

また漢字そのまま「七つの宝」を意味するともいわれ、金・銀・瑠璃・玻璃 ・しゃこ貝 ・珊瑚・瑪瑙のことであるとされています。
