En los actuales momentos el mundo se encuentra viviendo un tiempo único en la historia al tocarnos experimentar un acontecimiento que nadie podía imaginar que sucedería, nos agarró a todos por sorpresa convirtiéndose en algo global y desafiante para toda la humanidad.
At the present time the world is living a unique time in history when we experienced an event that no one could have imagined would happen. It took us all by surprise, becoming something global and challenging for all humanity.
La República Dominicana experimenta esta realidad, en el mes de Marzo del 2020 cuando se diagnóstica el primer caso, con el virus Covid-19, a partir de ese momento, nos cambió la vida a todos porque ya teníamos que adoptar una nueva forma de vivir.
The Dominican Republic experienced this reality in the month of March 2020 when the first case was diagnosed with the Covid-19 virus. From that moment on, it changed our lives because we had to adopt a new way of living.
Educación es uno de los sectores más afectados porque se trata de seguir formando en medio de la tempestad, conservar la vida y el mantenimiento de un año escolar, que debía culminar tal y como estaba planificado.
Education is one of the sectors most affected because it is about continuing to train in the midst of the storm, preserving life and maintaining a school year, which had to end on schedule as planned.
La Escuela se reinventa y se inicia un trabajo desde casa usando los medios que nos permitieran llegar a cada uno de nuestros alumnos, este proceso se da entre los meses Marzo – Junio 2020.
The School reinvented itself and started to work from home using the means that allow us to reach each of our students. This process took place between the months of March – June 2020.

La Iglesia Episcopal Dominicana tiene 26 instituciones educativas en la que dimos cobertura educativa a 8,000 alumnos con una empleomanía de 700 trabajadores, había que continuar dando el servicio y buscar estrategias que permitieran cumplir con el mismo.
The Dominican Episcopal Church has 26 educational institutions in which we provide educational coverage to 8,000 students with an employment of 700 workers. We had to continue providing the service and seek strategies that would allow it to comply with it.
El Obispo de la Iglesia Episcopal Dominicana Reverendísimo Moisés Quezada Mota, convoca sus Rectores de Colegios, Junta de Educación Y Dpto. de Educación de los Colegios Episcopales y enfrentar el desafío de mantener nuestras escuelas abiertas, pudimos culminar el año escolar 2019-2020, y organizamos para la vuelta a clases año escolar 2020-2021. Preparando la estructura física, creando los protocolos de prevención sanitaria, protocolo de apertura, metodología pedagógica, proyección tecnológica, mantenimiento del pago al personal.
The Bishop of the Dominican Episcopal Church, The Right Reverend Moisés Quezada Mota, summoned his Rectors of Schools, Board of Education and Dept. of Education of the Episcopal Schools to face the challenge of keeping our schools open. We were able to complete the 2019-2020 school year, and we organized for the back to school process for the 2020-2021 school year — preparing the physical structure, creating health prevention protocols, opening protocol, pedagogical methodology, technological projection, and maintenance of payment to personnel.
Los desafíos son macro por todo lo se requiere para dar respuesta a esta nueva forma de enseñar y de aprender, lo vamos a ir dando paso a paso este lunes 21 de septiembre se da apertura al nuevo año escolar para capacitar a los docentes, padres y estudiantes y el día 02 de Noviembre dar apertura al nuevo año en una modalidad virtual.
The challenges are large for all that is required to respond to this new way of teaching and learning. We are going to take it step by step. On Monday, September 21, the new school year opened to train teachers, parents and students; and on November 2, we will open the new year in a virtual mode.
