Each heart is set with a glowing moonstone cabochon, framed by a border of lustrous split pearls. This combination of moonstone and pearls was deeply cherished in the 19th century: moonstone for love, intuition and harmony; pearls for purity and gentle sentiment. The golden double heart motif made pieces
