Early 20th Century "Blue Violets", Oil Since 1942Dating to the first half of the 20th Century, this swiftly rendered impressionistic still life of blue violets bursting out of a trough is simple, yet striking and homely. It is mounted in a gilt frame with a blue velvet matt border, tying in nicely with the artwork. No evident signature, however, the back of the board still holds its original picture framer label.
