Angelain Nov. 1824" to the right border at about the 3 o'clock position, left of the face when looking at our photos. Fine detail to the painting, which is a heavy application of gouache (a water based paint) and we see his stubble and also fine attention to his eyes and features, loosening style as the clothing is addressed. That face is just 7 8" from chin to receding and
