The picture remains in original though unrestored condition with no over-painting or restoration and a good deal of craquelure and paint fleck loss to the surface

The threads themselves are fairly good in the main though the pale backgrounds to each have thin tears

preserved and mounted on a French grey painted rectangular softwood base survives from the middle of the twentieth century

the whole standing on later bun feet surviving from the last quarter of the eighteenth century
