Estimados en hermanos y hermanas en Cristo:
En estos días hemos estado preocupados y atentos a los acontecimientos ocurridos en Haití debido a que compartimos la misma isla y tenemos en el territorio haitiano a nuestros hermanos de la Diócesis Episcopal de Haití. En estos momentos nos hacemos eco de lo expresado por nuestro Primado Michael Curry en sus alentadoras palabras de fortaleza y confianza en Dios dirigida a la Iglesia y al Pueblo de Haití. Para manifestar sus sentimientos pastorales el obispo Curry usa como fuente la Palabra de Dios, la cual siempre nos ilumina en medio de la adversidad. Como dice el salmista Dios es nuestro refugio y fortaleza.
Pedimos sus oraciones por Haití y comunicamos a la Iglesia Episcopal de Haití nuestro acompañamiento y solidaridad, siempre con la esperanza de que Dios le dará fortaleza y traerá a su país y sus corazones paz.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ:
Recently we have been watchful and concerned about the events in Haiti because we share the same island with our brothers and sisters of the Episcopal Diocese of Haiti who live within the territory of Haiti. At this time we echo what was expressed by our Primate Michael Curry, in his encouraging words of strength and trust in God addressed to the Church and to the people of Haiti. To express his pastoral sentiments, Bishop Curry uses as a source the Word of God, which always enlightens us in the midst of adversity. As the psalmist says, God is our refuge and strength.
We ask your prayers for Haiti, and to the Episcopal Church of Haiti, we express our accompaniment and solidarity, always with the hope that God will give you strength and bring peace to your country and to your hearts.
